DESIGNER MAKER | MATERIAL BASED RESEARCHER AND DESIGNER | GRAPHIC DESIGNER | CRAFTSPERSON | HAND PAPERMAKER
I am a designer-maker whose practice bridges sustainability, material innovation, and interdisciplinary design. By repurposing natural materials like paper, food, and plant waste, I craft functional products that address contemporary socio-environmental challenges. Merging craft, material research, product design, and communication design, my work balances purpose with aesthetics, transforming waste into enduring, meaningful objects and visual narratives.
My background in Graphic Design and Craft- and Material-Based Product Design informs a practice that is both tactile and digital—where form, function, and narrative come together to serve people, the planet, and the principles of play. Researching through making, I integrate traditional techniques with modern methodologies across furniture, product development, graphic design, and visual storytelling.
Projects like Stained, Haathkagzi, and Dissolvable Organic Ink Blocks explore modularity, circular material systems, and the possibilities of natural dyes, while my graphic design work—including Sudhari and At This Time—focuses on visual narratives that communicate sustainability and culture. My work on Haathkagzi involved creating a cohesive brand language, from identity design to digital collateral, ensuring its story resonated seamlessly across print, digital, and experiential platforms.
I approach both materials and visuals as extensions of human experience, understanding their essence, impact, and ability to forge meaningful connections. Through continuous experimentation, design communication, and storytelling, I create work that is not just functional but transformative—reshaping our interaction with objects, materials, and the visual language of sustainability itself.
